INTRODUCTIONThank you for purchasing a Confer Plastics Pavilion. With proper installation you will enjoy your Pavilion for many years to come. Some communities may require a building permit before installation. Pavilions must be installed on a solid level surface and be properly anchored. NOTE: Your Pavilion was not designed for electricity. Consult a qualified electrician for installation of any electrical lighting or appliances. WARNING: Do not use any portable gas, electric heaters, and / or any open flames in or close to the pavilion. WARNING: Failure to properly anchor Pavilion may result in property damage or personal injury. |

Throughout the manual, each step required to put the Pavilion together will have notes underneath the title of the page. In those notes will be the amount of people needed for the step and what tools you require to accomplish this step. |

STEP 1 HEADER ASSEMBLY1 Person required Tools required: Cordless Drill, 5 / 16 Hex Driver STEP 1a A header assembly consists of 2 x 6 wood. See diagram below for assembly of different sizes. Taper must be at ends, see inset below. STEP 1b Align the vertical wall connector (CP-6) with the alignment recess on the header cover. Position the 6 x 4 ½ vertical wall connector so it extends past end of header as pictured. Install using (6) #10 x 1 5/8 wood screw. Repeat for the remaining headers. |

STEP 2 PANEL ASSEMBLY2 People required Tools required: Cordless Drill, 5/16 Hex Driver, Tape Measure, Putty Knife. STEP 2a Using the diagram below, layout wall panels on a flat surface with inside of panel facing up. Four and five section wall assemblies will require an extra 20 single extension or 56 double extension add on. Make sure flange on 3 section panel overlaps add on sections (see inset below). STEP 2b Slide the metal tubing into the top and bottom side channels of the panel (s). 3 Section = (2) 84 Ό Tubes 4 Section = (2) 112 Tubes 5 Section = (4) 69 Tubes (Refer to 5 section instructions on next page) STEP 2c Align L shaped wall connector with raised lines on panel. Secure with #10 x 1 ½ TEK Screws through wall connector panel and into steel channel. NOTE: TEK screws are self-drilling, self-tapping screws, but pilot hole drills are supplied and can be used to drill pilot holes in metal tubing if needed. STEP 2d Repeat procedure for remaining three corners. This completes one pavilion wall assembly. STEP 2e Follow these procedures to assemble the remaining two walls. INSTRUCTIONS FOR 10 X 12 PAVILIONS ONLY The 12-foot wall requires a center post. To complete this wall assembly, first slide 69 metal tubes into 3 section wall, top and bottom. Next, slide H beam post through provided hole on top of 3 panel wall assembly. Slide 69 steel tubes into top and bottom channels of the 56 2 section wall panel. Finally slide the two walls units together until the two plastic wall panels meet. Note: Open sides of H beam are positioned with the open sides parallel to the length of the panel so that windows kits (if purchased) can be installed correctly. See picture. Align the T bracket (CP-13) and secure using #10 x 1 ½ TEK srews. Repeat at bottom of center post Install the four L shape wall connectors (CP-09) to complete wall assembly. (As shown in step 2c above) |

STEP 3 WALL ASSEMBLY2 People required Tools required: Cordless Drill, 5/16 Hex Driver, Tape Measure, Pilot Drill bit. STEP 3a With sidewall assembly laying on a flat surface align corner panel with edge of wall panel. The L shaped wall connector will overlap the corner panel (see exploded view to your right). Make sure bottom of wall assembly and corner panels are flush BEFORE you secure panels with screws. Secure using #10 x 1 ½ TEK screws through L wall connector into corner panels. (Note: a drill bit is supplied to pre-drill pilot holes if needed) STEP 3b Place header assembly between the two corner panels at the top, and align the vertical wall connector with the square tab on the corner panel. This will ensure that the top of the header and the corner panels are flush. Secure with #10 x 1 ½ TEK screws. Do this for both ends of header. Repeat step 3 second wall assembly. STEP 3c Stand up one of the sidewalls. Attach back wall panel to sidewall assembly using #10 x 1 ½ TEK screws, bottom of sidewall must be flush with bottom of corner panel. (As shown in 3C) STEP 3d Stand up second side wall assembly (3D) and attach it to the back wall panel using #10 x 1 ½ TEK screws (as show in 3D). Bottom of sidewall must be flush with bottom of corner post. STEP 3e Attach the front header (see 3E in diagram) to the two front corner panels making sure to align header connector with square tabs (see step 3b). Secure with #10 x 1 ½ TEK screws. Repeat for rear header. STEP 3f Using tape measure and chart below measure diagonals to square up pavilion. IMPORTANT: Pavilion must be square for roof to fit properly. |

STEP 4 ROOF PANEL ASSEMBLY2 People required Tools required: Cordless Drill, 5/16 Hex Driver STEP 4a Apply ½ inch foam tape in groove on underside of flanged roof panel. See image to your right. Repeat for remaining corners. NOTE: Center roof extensions also require tape on underside of flange. STEP 4b Roof corner panel assemblies consist of a right and left. Lay one right panel and one left panel down so the texture (rooftop) side on each face down. STEP 4c Align right and left roof panels to form corner. Note the raised portion on flange must interlock with recess on other panels flange to insure roof seam wont leak. Make sure angle of roof panels align flat with the corner roof support. Use corner roof support to help align the panels. (As shown in step 4e) STEP 4d While holding roof panels together and at correct angle (see image 4c) so that the corner roof support (CP-7) lays flat with each roof panel and forms a 90 degree angel along raised lips as shown in figure 4d. Attach corner roof support (CP-7) using #10 x 1 5/8 wood screws. STEP 4e Attach corner roof bracket (CP-5) using #10 x 1 5/8 wood screws as shown in 4e. STEP 4f Repeat step 4 again to complete the other three-roof panel. |

STEP 5 ROOF INSTALLATION2 People required Tools required: Cordless Drill, (2) Step Ladder An 8 x 8 Pavilion roof consists of 4 corner assemblies. Larger sizes will have two or more center roof sections. STEP 5a Start by placing a roof corner assembly up on to the completed wall. From the outside, slide assembled roof corner up until on to the flange on the underside of each corner aligns with the outside edge of the wall. STEP 5b From the inside install a roof header bracket half way on to each roof panel using (4) #10 x 1-5/8 wood screws and in to header with (2) 1 ½ screws and 1 washers. Repeat 5a and 5b to complete roof installation. |

STEP 6 DOME FRAME INSTALLATIONRequires 2-3 people. Tools required: Cordless Drill, 5/16 Hex Driver, (2) Step Ladders, (2) Clamps The dome frame is a one-piece metal frame for all sizes except the 10 x 12 pavilion. The 10 x 12 is a two-piece and will require assembly. See supplemental instructions (supp 1 last page). STEP 6a (Single Piece Domes) Place one-inch wide double-sided weather strip tape on the top surface of the frame where the dome attaches and on the lip of the frame where the roof panels attach. STEP 6b With the dome frame inside the Pavilion lift up and push through the opening. This will require two or three people. NOTE: roof panels will rise slightly before frame goes through opening. While holding up into opening secure using #10 x 1 5/2 wood screws through the pre-drilled holes of the frame into roof panels. STEP 6c Before installing dome using clear outdoor caulk fill in groove between roof panels and skylight frame. This step must be done carefully to avoid leaks. |

STEP 7 SKYLIGHT DOME INSTALLATIONRequires 2-3 people Tools required: Step Ladder, Cordless Drill, 5/16 Hex Driver STEP 7a Domes must have rubber grommets installed in pre-drilled Ύ inch holes. To install grommet push half way through hole. Be sure Ύ diameter hole engages completely in center groove of grommet. STEP 7b With help from another person on ladder, carefully slide dome into place on skylight frame. Position dome to sit flat on sealant tape (refer to step 6a (skylight frame installation) for tape installation) STEP 7c Secure dome to frame by inserting the step bushing in the grommet. Then place a 1 inch washer over the bushing and secure with #10 x 1 Ό rubber washer TEK screw. NOTE: Be cautious not to over tighten screws in this step to avoid cracking dome. SUPPLEMENTAL FOR 10 X 12 Pavilion Only Double Dome Installation. STEP A With help from another person, slide 1 dome section up to skylight frame with the short flange noticeably shorter, make sure that is towards the CENTER of the frame) STEP B Slide the 2nd dome section up on sky light frame so the short flange side butts up to the other domes short flange side. NOTE: DO NOT OVERLAP FLANGES ON DOMES, they should butt up against each other and fit on the frame. Position both domes to sit square on frame and to sit flat on the sealant tape. STEP C Using clear silicon calk, fill in the groove between the two domes making sure to leave no voids in calk. Completing this step correctly will stop any leaks coming through the skylight frames. |

STEP 8 CORNER BRACKET / WALL CONNECTOR1 Person required Tools required: 5/16 Hex Driver, Cordless Drill, Hammer (2) Crescent wrenches or open ended wrenches. STEP 8a Center the header corner bracket (CP-4) in the corner above header connectors. Secure using #10 x 1 1/2 TEK screws ONLY in the inner two holes. The outer two holes require #10 x 1-5/8 wood screws. STEP 8b Slide the corner support connector (CP-11) over the header corner bracket (CP-4) and align hole with corner roof support (CP-7). Secure using Ό 20 x 1 screw, washer and Ό locknut. STEP 8c Install wall brace (CP-2) with the end tabs sitting on top of header and the drilled tabs flush against inside of header. Secure using #10 x 1-5/8 wood screws. Repeat above steps for remaining corners. |

STEP 9 DECK MOUNTING BRACKET1 Person required Tools required: Cordless Drill, 5/16 Hex Driver, Deck Anchors (not supplied) STEP 9a Measure over from corner 14 inches and make a mark on bottom of panel. With bracket flat on deck (or concrete) align center of slot with mark and secure with #10 x 1 ½ TEK screw and 1 washer. Install two deck brackets on each wall as shown in diagram. STEP 9b Permanently secure deck brackets to concrete slab or wood deck. Consult your hardware supplier for proper fasteners. WARNING: Pavilions must be anchored to permanent surface. Failure to do so may cause property damage or personal injury. |
SUPP 1 10 X 12 SKYLIGHT FRAME2-3 people required Tools required: Cordless Drill, 5/16 Hex Driver, (2) Step Ladders, Tubes of Caulk The 10 x 12 dome frame consists of two frames connected in the middle. SUPP 1a Start by placing both halves on a level surface with the roof flange facing out and the flush sides together. Clamp the frames and attach together using #10 x 3/4 TEK screws. SUPP 1b Install Skylight Frame Supports to secure the two frames together using #10 x 3/4 TEK screws. (see figure above) SUPP 1c Before installing dome use clear outdoor caulk to fill any gaps between the roof panels and skylight frames. This step must be done carefully and generously to avoid leaks. SUPP 1d With the assembled dome frames inside the Pavilion lift up and push through the opening. This will require 2 or 3 people. NOTE: Roof panels will rise slightly before frame goes through opening. While holding up into opening secure using #10 x 1-5/8 wood screws through the pre-drilled holes of the frame into roof panels. |
